The 20th annual XTERRA South Africa off-road triathlon is an epic off-road experience on the iconic Grabouw trails of Elgin Valley. Choose an event to suit your fitness and skill level- from the full flavour XTERRA Full distance for the ardent athlete, to the less technical, shorter XTERRA Sprint distance for newcomers. New for 2026 is the Run/Bike/Run Duathlon for those who prefer not to swim. Our Team Relay events allow you to pick your favourite discipline in the XTERRA Full, Sprint or Duathlon, and team up with your friends, family or corporates to do the other legs
Kids Triathlon is a fun event for kids aged 6-11, and our future champions are made at the Youth and Junior races (12-19 yo)
Qualify for 2026 XTERRA World Champs in Ruidoso New Mexico, USA:
The XTERRA Full distance can qualify you for one of 28 slots for XTERRA World Championships. There are 5 Worlds spots available for each of the Juniors, Youth As and Youth Bs from ages 12-19. The XTERRA 21k Trail run has 28 World Champs slots up for grabs.
Come for the weekend - it will be a fun, family vibe with Music, Food Trucks, a Bar and even lake side camping options for your rigged vehicle or tent.

Should the Event be cancelled or postponed due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Event Organiser, including but not limited to force majeure, acts of God, extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, communicable diseases, or legislation/restrictions imposed by the Government of the Republic of South Africa, the following shall apply:
* If the Event is cancelled more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time, participants will be eligible to receive a 50% refund of the paid entry fee
* If the Event is cancelled or postponed within 48 hours of the scheduled start time, participants will not receive a monetary refund. Instead, participants may:
* Transfer their entry to the rescheduled event date; or
* Defer their entry to the equivalent event in the following calendar year.
All refunds exclude third-party service fees, administration fees, processing charges, and any ancillary purchases.
If a participant is unable to take part in the Event, the following withdrawal terms will apply:
More than 30 Days Prior to the Event
* The participant may transfer their entry to another participant (subject to the official transfer process and fee); or
* Cancel their entry and receive a 90% refund
Within 30 Days of the Event
* The participant may transfer their entry to another participant (subject to the official transfer process and fee); or
* Cancel their entry and incur a *50% cancellation penalty* (50% of the entry fee will be forfeited).
Within 7 Days of the Event
* The participant may transfer their entry to the following year’s equivalent event; or
* Cancel their entry and incur a 100% cancellation penalty** (no refund will be issued).
* Transfers to another participant are permitted, subject to a nominal administrative transfer fee.
* All transfer requests must be submitted in writing to the Race Office via email.
* Transfers are only valid once confirmed in writing by the Event Organiser.
* No same-day transfers will be permitted unless expressly authorised by the Event Organiser.
By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge and agree to abide by this Cancellation, Withdrawal & Transfer Policy. The Event Organiser reserves the right to amend or update this policy where reasonably necessary and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
